How Many Incontinence Pads Should I Use?

According to the National Association for Continence, over 25 million Americans suffer from incontinence. That’s a lot of people! The answer to this question depends on a few factors, including:

The Severity of Your Incontinence

Mild incontinence can usually be managed with one or two pads per day while more severe cases may require four or more bed underpads.

Your Normal Daily Activities

If you have a sedentary lifestyle, you will likely need fewer underpads than someone with an active lifestyle who is constantly on the go.

Your Personal Preferences

Everyone is different! Some people prefer to use more adult underpads and change them more often while others are fine with using fewer pads but changing them less frequently.

At the end of the day, it’s important to experiment with incontinence supplies until you find a routine that works for you. And don’t be afraid to ask your doctor for advice—they’re there to help!
